netcheq

All your sites. One glance. No cloud subscription.

A local-first uptime checker for small business owners with a handful of web properties. Targets live on your device. Checks run from your device. If your own internet is down, the app stays quiet — because a notification you can't trust is just noise.

Every site you run, in one view. The coral one needs you — everything else is fine.
Local-first

Targets stay on your device. Zero data egress unless you opt into the hosted tier.

Reachability-aware

If your own connection is down, NetCheq doesn't claim your sites are. Quiet by design.

Pay once, not monthly

Free up to 3 targets. One-time unlock for unlimited. Hosted alerting available later if you outgrow on-device.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes — up to 3 targets, on every platform, forever, no account. Need more? Local Pro is a one-time unlock (not a subscription) for unlimited targets, custom check intervals, status-code/keyword matchers, and watch complications.

Does it keep watching when my computer is off?

Not on the free local app — checks run from your own device, so they pause when it sleeps. The optional hosted tier (coming later) runs the same checks 24/7 from netcheq.com and emails you when something breaks.

Where does my data live?

On your device. Your target list and check history never leave it unless you opt into the hosted tier. Even this website doesn't store your IP address — see the privacy policy.

Which platforms can I get it on?

Linux is available now (.deb, .rpm, AppImage). macOS, Windows, Android, iOS, Wear OS and watchOS are in store review / coming soon — see downloads.

Why not just use Pingdom or UptimeRobot?

They're great for ops teams that need cloud-run, 24/7 paging — and a monthly bill. NetCheq is built for owners who want their sites checked from their own devices, pay-once, with nothing to leave the device. Different job (see the comparison above).
